PESHAWAR: December 16, 2017 marks the third anniversary of Taliban attack on Army Public School (APS) Peshawar in capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) that claimed over 140 lives, mostly students.
It was on this black day in 2014 that a group of terrorists,the banned outfit Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) attacked Army Public School. Over one hundred and forty innocent people including one hundred and twenty-five students of the school lost their lives in the ensuing massacre.
the tragic incident galvanised the nation and resulted in major policy decisions at national level with respect to the ongoing war on terror and maintenance of law and order in the country and pakistan army had launched Operation Zarb-e-Azb under the leadership of then-army chief General Raheel Sharif.
This resulted in the formulation of the National Action Plan against Terrorism, which was subsequently implemented with remarkable success.
