LANDIKOTAL: The residents of historical Awal Khan village,Pased Khel and Charbagh, bordering areas of Landikotal subdivision have complained that the road from Landikotal to their villages was in very dilapidated condition which need the immediate repair work.
Talking media representatives in Landikotal, the chairman of Pased Khel Welfare Program Bashar Khan Shinwari, vice chairman Sadiq Khan Shinwari and a taxi driver Kamran Shinwari said that the road leads to the historical Awal Khan Kili and their villages was in good condition before the repair and construction work launched on Peshawar-Torkham high way last years.
They said the heavy vehicles and trailers trucks carrying goods to Afghanistan were given permission during the repair and construction work on Peshawar-Torkham high way to use Pased Khel-Charbagh road while going to Torkham.
The office bearers and taxi driver said the loaded heavy trucks caused damages to Pased Khel-Charbagh road which was in a very deteriorated condition now a days and this road was not able for the use of small vehicles even.
We spent more money on the repair of our taxi cars while transporting passengers from Landikotal to Awal Khan kili and Pased Khel villages due to the worst condition of the road. Taxi driver Kamran said.
The welfare organization officials and taxi drivers demanded the governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to issue instructions to the relevant department to immediately launch repair and construction work on Pased Khel-Charbagh road to facilitate the locals and transporters of the area.
